With seventeen years of invaluable experience in the hairdressing industry, Hayley has not only honed her skills but has also collaborated and trained with some of the UK’s and New Zealand’s most talented hairstylists. Fueled by her passion, Salon Kephi was born in Tasmania with a mission to bring this wealth of expertise to our clients, offering exceptional one-on-one hair services.
Hayley will be on maternity leave starting November 1st 2024, but she’s still here for you! If you need assistance or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to her via email.
Sophie - Senior Stylist
Introducing our incredibly talented Senior Stylist, Sophie! Having completed her training at Salon Kephi, she showcases skills and creativity that truly surpass her years.
Sophie is a natural people person, ‘I love making connections with my clients and having different conversations with different people and continuously learning’. We love having her positive energy in the salon!
She has quickly realised that she ‘loves to specialise in blondes’ with her favourite hair trend being ‘low maintenance blonde balayage’. We are happy to support her rise as a balayage specialist as we know how much you all love those low maintenance locks.
When she isn’t creating amazing hair, Sophie spends her time with close friends and family, ‘I love to spend time away on the east coast of Tassie, camping and being at the beach, it’s definitely my happy place’… Well who doesn't!! ‘My life goals for the future would definitely be to own or build my own house with my partner, travel and see as much of the world as I can before starting my own family’. It will be our complete pleasure at Salon Kephi to support Sophie in achieving these goals.
Jayda - Senior Stylist
Meet our incredibly dedicated and experienced stylist, Jayda!
With almost seven years of salon experience under her belt, Jayda has become a seasoned expert in the art of hairstyling. Her current favourites in the ever-evolving world of hair trends are the timeless allure of bouncy blowdry’s and the effortlessly chic lived-in balayage.
What fuels Jayda’s passion for hairdressing is the joy she witnesses on her clients' faces after they've experienced her artistry. "Seeing how happy my clients are after they have been in my chair is truly rewarding. I thrive on learning new techniques to keep pushing the boundaries of my craft," she shares.
Jayda has set her sights on becoming a specialist in lived-in balayage, aiming to perfect the art of creating effortlessly stunning and natural looks. As modest as she may be about it, she also has some killer cutting skills which we just love to see in action!
Beyond the salon, Jayda leads an active and fulfilling life. She finds solace in going to the gym, prioritising physical health and fitness. The outdoors beckon her, whether she's travelling to new destinations or spending quality time with her family. Her favourite weekend activity? Embarking on beach trips with her cherished little family.
Liv - Senior Stylist
We’re thrilled to introduce Liv, our talented Senior Stylist who brings creativity, warmth, and a passion for hair to everything she does. With over 7 years in the industry, her love for hairdressing is driven by the opportunity to continuously learn and grow, while building meaningful connections with clients.
Liv’s favourite hair transformation? A honey blonde balayage, with warm tones and a deeper root—she says it’s "just heaven." She also has a special place in her heart for a tidy men’s mullet. When it comes to styling, Liv is a “scissor girly” at heart, excelling in shaggy, textured haircuts that create shape and body.
Beyond the salon, Liv is an adventurer. She enjoys spending weekends working in her family’s coffee van business, attending live music events, and exploring the coast with her golden retriever, Missy. She’s also passionate about traveling and hopes to explore more of Australia and the world in the future.
Gary - Owner & Business Manager
Having dabbled in launching and growing small businesses and then jumping into the corporate scene for business development and analysis, Gary now plays a key role at Salon Kephi. He's the go-to guy for setting up the nitty-gritty operational stuff and providing the crucial behind-the-scenes support that keeps everything ticking. He is an incredible support for the Salon Kephi team.
